Rhoads Energy – an employee-owned company, was founded in 1917 when Jerome H. Rhoads began selling kerosene from the back of a rail car in Lancaster, PA. As times changed, so did our products and services. We are now a full-service company that can meet all of your heating and air conditioning needs: from heating oil, natural gas, and propane to equipment installation and commercial fueling.
Since our founding, the Rhoads Energy Family of Companies has been in continuous operation as a family-owned, locally based provider of heating and cooling services. In 2021, CEO, Michael DeBerdine III, transitioned the company to an ESOP. Providing the team of employees at Rhoads with ownership in Rhoads, and solidifying the investment in the team and company.
